Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
This policy explains what the Eat'n'Fit app ("Eat'n'Fit", "we", "us"), operated by EATNFIT Inc., collects when you use it, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Eat'n'Fit is a calorie and macro tracker that estimates the nutrition of your meals from a photo.
What we collect
- Meal photos. When you scan a meal, the photo you take is processed to recognize the food and estimate its calories and macros.
- The profile you set up. Details such as your sex, age, height, weight, activity level, goal, and target weight, which are used to calculate your daily calorie and macro targets.
- What you log. The meals, calories, macros, and weight entries you save, so the app can build your history and progress.
- Basic technical data. Standard information such as app version, device type, and operating system, and diagnostic data about crashes, used to keep the app working.
Camera and photos
Eat'n'Fit uses your device camera only when you choose to scan a meal, so a photo can be taken and analysed for its nutrition. We do not access your camera or photo library in the background. You can turn the camera permission off at any time in your device settings, though photo scanning will not work without it.
Why we collect it
- To recognize your meals and estimate their calories, protein, carbs, and fat.
- To calculate your personal daily calorie and macro targets from the profile you enter, using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation.
- To keep your food diary, macro totals, and weight history so you can track progress over time.
- To fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve how the app works.
How your data is shared
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We rely on a small number of service providers to run the app, for example cloud hosting and the food recognition that turns a photo into a nutrition estimate. These providers process data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us. Where processing takes place outside your country, we take steps to protect your data in line with applicable law.
How long we keep it
We keep your profile, logs, and history for as long as you use Eat'n'Fit, so your data is there when you come back. You can delete individual entries in the app, or ask us to delete your data entirely (see "Your rights"). Meal photos are used to produce your nutrition estimate and are not kept longer than needed for that purpose and your history.
Your rights
You can ask us to send you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it. Write to contact@eatnfit.com and we will action it within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold and to request its deletion; we do not sell personal information.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Children
Eat'n'Fit is not intended for anyone under 14, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, write to contact@eatnfit.com and we will delete it.
Not medical advice
The calorie and macro figures Eat'n'Fit shows are estimates produced by a standard formula (Mifflin-St Jeor) and automated food recognition. They are general information, not medical or nutritional advice. Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before making significant changes to your diet, particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a medical condition.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
